Others finishing for the RCHS harriers were Elwood Dodson (18th in 19:58) and David Dodson (25th in 20:48).

In the girls’ competition, Stonewall Jackson’s runners were first, second and third. Then the Lady Panthers came on in a pack, Karen Ludwick fourth (28:43), Denise Eidson fifth (2(3:25) and Maria Roemer seventh (29:02).

Maria Roemer, a member of Rappahannock County High School’s cross country squad,took second place last weekend at the five kilometer race sponsored by the Potomac School in McLean.

The ninth grader competed in the division for women, ages 13-18.
