Each of us will have to decide if this episode is an indication of the moral and ethical character of the candidate. Perhaps some of us can empathize with him, realizing that we all make mistakes (of different magnitude depending on our position in society).
But, because of the extensive attention given to the matter by the News, the various leaks relevant to the mistake before the release of the court records and the timing of that release, an underlying question has developed which must be confronted.
