hitter ling & Chicken Dinner
There will be an chitterling and chicken dinner on Saturday, November 5, at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Amissville at the dining hall of the church.
The dinner will begin at 12 noon and all proceeds will benefit the building fund of the church. All are welcome.
Women’s Day Celebration
The Willing Workers Club of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Amissville will celebrate women’s day at the church on Sunday, November 6. The morning service will begin at 11 a.m. and the Family Three from Washington, I).C. will be guest singers. Lunch will be served following the morning service. The Family Three will perform again at 3 p.m.
The Rev. George L. Bailey is pastor of Mt. Moriah and invites the public to attend.
Ladies To Meet
The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary will meet on Monday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mary Curtis.
All members and interested persons are urged to attend.
Harvest Dinner Planned
A harvest dinner will be held at the Flint Hill fire hall on Saturday, November 5 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The menu includes pork barbecue on bun or ham, cole slaw, baked beans, baked apples, desserts and beverages.
All of this scrumptious food will be available for just $4.00 per person. The community is urged to make plans now to attend.
Schedule Change
The final lecture/discussion in RAAC’s Voices of Rappahannock series, “Visions of the Future” has been rescheduled for Nov. 18 at 7:30 at the Gay St. Theater. Participants include Kugene McCarthy, Virginia Lindstrom, Pearl Clarke and High School Senior Greg Smith.
