Stella Payne
Stella Pearl Payne, 72, of Front Royal, died April 3 in Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Payne was born in Rappahannock County March 2, 1915, a daughter of the late James Walker Bennett and Bertha Elliott Bennett.
A retired supervisor with the FMC Corp., she was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 1194, and the Auxiliary of Giles B. Cook Post 53 of the American Legion.
Surviving are one son James E. Payne of Marysville, Ohio, two brothers, George Bennett and James C. Bennett, both of Front Royal, three sisters, Annie Hawkins of Washington, Rena Burke of Luray and Lillian Knight of Front Royal, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was coniucted April 5 at the flmeral home }y the Women of the Moose Chapter 1194.
A funeral service was conducted April 5 at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home by the Rev. John K. Burke Jr. Burial was in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Kevin Payne, Bryan Brake, Franklin Hawkins, William Hawkins, James Elliott and Bobby Corbin.
