Finding clothes to fit over a leg brace is only one example of the difficulties faced by parents of children with special needs. Children confined to wheelchairs may be more comfortable with clothes which fas\ ten in the back, enabling them to be slipped easily on and off from the front, without a lot of maneuvering.
Although her business is targeted to very young children, she said “I’ll try not to turn anyone down. If parents of older children are interested, I will try to accommodate them on an as-requested basis.”
Mrs. Shrader and her husband don’t have a retail store, but they will gladly mail a catalog to anyone who contacts them, or will visit the client to show what is available. She also expressed an interest in meeting with clubs and volunteer groups to explain what she can do to help physically challenged children.
