SHARON FOSTER S FIFTH GRADE class at RCES made models of colonial settlements as part of their social studies class. Three students who did models were, from left, Sherri Thomas, Bill Martin and Jonathan Fletcher. The work, which was done entirely outside of class, was based on information found in the students’ text but constructed completely of materials they collected. Ms. Foster called the work “excellent.” She was so impressed with the results of the assignment that she has included a similar project in the class’s transportation study, now underway,
