Bonnie North of Huntly was
named “Miss Rappahannock” in a beauty pageant held Friday evening at the local high school. The pageant was sponsored by the Rappahannock Jaycees. Runners-up were Barbara Jean Dodson and Kay Cubbage, second and third respectively.
The Scouts of Sperryville will hold a car wash for the next four Saturdays beginning April 15. Cars will be washed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sperryville Barber Shop.
The volume of requests on road improvements was at a minimum Friday when a public hearing on highways was held in connection with the April meeting of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors. Resident Engineer James Skeens was present to hear requests and complaints, answer questions and note same for inspection.

Amissville is now with the State Police as a conditionally appointed trooper and is undergoing field training in the Lynchburg area, according to Colonel W. H. Burgess, Superintendent of the Department.
