The Center for the Advancement of Academically Talented Youth has announced that eight Wakefield seventh graders performed “with distinction” on the College Board Examination SATs administered this year.
In the Mathematics and Verbal Talent Search conducted by the Johns Hopkins University, qualified seventh graders throughout the nation are allowed to take the academic aptitude test normally taken by college-bound seniors. The purpose of the ATY program is to identify as early as possible students with high academic potential.
