The Lee site, endorsed by the Board of Supervisors but eliminated on the basis of soil tests, was rated by the committee “probably not a good site” on the basis of its proximity to the Town of Washington’s water supply, its availability on a lease basis only and its location in a highuse, populated area.
The same “probably not a good site” ruling was awarded the Cook property off Route 647 north of Flint Hill, the Gentry tract off Route 647 and the Powers and Talley property off the Shade Road.
The committee gave the Woodland Farm property, owned by AWOW Partnership of Nokesville, off Route 211 between Hillsdale and Ben Venue, the single “may be possible” rating for a landfill site.
