"Turkey Run runs right through the middle of the Willis tract,” added Hampton District Supervisor Newbill Miller. In addition* he said, the existing access there is a long rightof-way, not a paved road.
“How about water on the Stover tract?” asked Mr. Henry.
"We felt we had a long enough ridge tract away from any water there,” Mr. Massie answered.
Coming in later to the board meeting, C. D. Green of Amissville questioned why a more central location had not been proposed as a landfill site. He asked the board members whether they would locate a landfill at the lower end of the county and face the expense of hauling trash in from the rest of the county if they were running the solid waste disposal program as a “personal business.”
