Club convention

The Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs Inc. will hold its 53rd annual convention May 4 to 6 at the Homestead, Hot Springs. The Shenandoah District, as hostess, has planned an exciting program for garden club members, emphasizing the state president’s theme “Action Now - A Future To Share.”

Highlights of the convention will include the VMI Color Guard, Flower Boutique, award presentations and exhibits. Mrs. Madeline Myers will conduct a dried flower workshop. Bob Thomas of St. Pel tersburg, Fla., will present an exciting program of creative floral design at Wednesday’s luncheon.

Mrs. Thomas F. Wipperman, South Atlantic Regional Director, * ■ will be guest speaker at the formal banquet. New officers for the 198789 term will be installed and Susan Parker, a former Bliss Virginia, will entertain.
