league was started in 1988 by Vinney Carney in response to her children’s desire to play soccer. This year about 150 children joined up to play on 14 teams. The coaches, referees and team mothers donate their time and the children work very hard improving their individual and team skills each week.
The league is made up of four divisions. The youngest children from kindergarten and first grade make up league I and the second and third graders go into league II. The emphasis at this level is on learning and enjoying the game.
