'Pay to Play' soccer benefit
The Rappahannock Soccer League will sponsor a “Pay to Play” day on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. at the RCES soccer fields. The donation for adults to participate will be $5, and the proceeds will go toward an awards banquet for the league's players. The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a family portrait offer on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 27 and 28 at the fire hall. The 10x13 inch canvas textured portraits will be available at a special price of $5. Certificates are available from any member of the fire department. Family recipes now available
Due to repeated requests, the Rappahannock County Senior Citizens' “Old Family Recipes” cookbooks are now available again. Orders are being taken by mail. Anyone wishing a copy of these local recipes may mail a check or money order for $5.50, plus $1.25 for postage and handling, to Rappahanock Senior Nutrition Site, Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, Va. 22747.
