The seventh grade class at RCES will sponsor family portraits on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Coupons are on sale now through any seventh grader. For more information contact Arthur Neufeld or Martha Kidwell at RCES (987-8259).

Acting class begins Nov. 6

Olde Towne Theatre in Washington, a resident professional production company, will hold adult acting classes at Washington’s Town Hall on Gay Street beginning Tuesday evening, Nov. 6 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Classes are on-going, weekly and the fee is $25 per month. Call Class Director Sheree Rainbolt-Kren at 675-1157 for information and registration. Public, student showcases held every three months.

Haunted hayrides

A family fun night of bonfires and haunted hayrides will be held at Mountain Green Farm on Saturday, Oct. 27, 6 to 8 p.m. Rain date will be Sunday, Oct. 28. Bring your own hot dogs, marshmallows and blanket for your family. There will also be a costume contest for kids. Advance tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under; at the gate, $6 for adults and $4 for children. Stop by CCLC for advance tickets or call 675-3237 for additional information. All proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund.

Post Halloween dance

The Crazy 8’s will play at a post Halloween dance at the Fire Hall in Washington on Saturday, Nov. 3 starting at 8 p.m. Wear costumes, bring your dancing shoes and dance the night away with some of the best dancing music around. Admission at the gate is $10 and all funds raised will go to benefit the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community and the Gay Street Theater. RAAC invites you to join the fun for a no alcohol, no tobacco evening.

Riding lessons available
