Noakes was escorted by David Mosher, a member of last year’s soccer team and, like Miss Noakes, an alumnus of the Class of 1989.

English teacher Jon Heddleston served as master of the halftime ceremony. His son, Chad, was the crown-bearer.

As was done last year, the queen and her court arrived on the field in cars, provided by alumni and parents. Senior Diana Hudson, also a member of the National Honor Society, organized that part of the ceremony. “We want to thank all those people” who donated the use of their cars, said NHS faculty advisor Frieda Herman.
