Amendment No. 4
This is Amendment No. 3’s big brother. Vote “No” on this one, too, for all the same reasons: it disenfranchises the voter from expensive decisions on funding mass transportation. The measure would amend the state constitution to authorize a new category of state debt for transportation purposes that would be secured by pledged tax revenues, subject to limits on the amount of the debt, and not require voter approval.
If you have complete faith in bureaucrats and all elected officials, you’ll love this proposal. We don’t and hope you don’t either.
