Peggy Sue Kerns, 30, of Front Royal died Oct. 17 at her home.
The funeral was held Oct. 20 at Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal with the Rev. Jimmy Burke officiating. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Kerns was born Dec. 7, 1959, in Marion, Kan., the daughter of William Edward and Virgie Levina Wines Ubben of Chester Gap. She was a 1978 graduate of Rappahannock County High School.
Surviving with her parents are her husband, Willard E. Kerns Jr.; three sons, Jason A. Costello, Andrew A. Kerns and Jonathan C. Kerns, all at home; two daughters, Amber M. Kerns and Sarah S. Kerns, both at home; one brother, William C. Ubben of Chester Gap; and five sisters, Malinda L. Henry, Wanda J. Oden and Janey L. Fogle, all of Front Royal, Virginia K. Langford of Middletown and Molly B. Arrington of Amissville.
Pallbearers were Dale Oden, Mark Arrington, Ray Fogle, Waldo Wines, Jeffrey Costello and Rooney Costello.
Oliver Atkins
Oliver James Atkins, 84, of Sperryville died Oct. 16 at Culpeper Health Care Center.
He was a native of Rappahannock County and a retired farmer.
