“Bats, Beautification and Butterflies” — these three topics were the focus of the October meeting of the Rappahannock County Garden Club held at the home of Mrs. Celine Siira.
A tape on bats presented by Mrs. Florence Nordone emphasized the fact that these mammals do much to control our insect population. Therefore, they deserve a much better reputation than the one they have at the present time.
The second tape presented the work of the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs in adding beauty t6 our surroundings. Lastly, club members were treated to a lovely tape made at the Day Butterfly Center in Callaway Gardens in Georgia.
