On Saturday, Oct. 27, learn more about the individual’s role in recycling and waste reduction at a free workshop hosted by the Department of Waste Management in Northern Virginia.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Westpark Hotel in Tyson’s Corner, the public can find out what federal, state, and local governments are doing to promote recycling and waste reduction, what forces drive the recyclable markets, the role that the private sector and civic groups are playing in encouraging recycling, and what individuals can do to reduce the waste they generate. Learn to be part of the solution to the waste problem at this important and timely workshop.
This is the first of four regional workshops being hosted by the Virginia Department of Waste Management and funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
