the planners had agreed with the last application to favor a site near the village center of Amissville.

Holley Green, with Sentry Realty, who is attempting to locate a site for Mr. Rieley, said that the most central site the post office is considering may not have enough land.

Evelyn Snowden of Long and Foster Realty said she represented Frances Semones who had offered a site to the post office. She said the post office had considered the site and found the price too high and also objected that the height of the median strip on U.S. 211 would screen the post office from the view of westbound drivers.

She said her client would consider a lower price and believes that the median could be lowered because it is filled with stumps at that location. She said the property was much closer to the current post office.

Mike Massie, who represents the supervisors on the Planning Commission, noted that the zoning ordinance requires that a representative of the organization needing a building for public use be present for the planners to consider such a request.
