Tippy Jenkins

is new retiree

Clifton “Tippy” Jenkins has just retired from the Department of Forestry. Tippy was employed by the Commonwealth of Virginia for the past 31 years and had been with the Department of Forestry since 1970.

He served as the chief forest warden for Rappahannock and Madison counties.

The volunteer fire departments, coworkers, and cooperating agencies will all miss the professionalism and dedication Tippy gave.

He was instrumental in the establishment of thousands of tree seedlings and the extinguishing of hundreds of forest fires during his tenure as chief forest warden. Tippy’s experience will be sorely missed.
