Belated birthday wishes go out to Mr. Charlie Wood of Dun-Lookin Farm who celebrated his on Oct. 13. Family members who came to be with him and help celebrate in addition to his chief cook Mrs. Wood were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gardiner and daughter Danielle of Arnold, Md. and Mrs. Gail Filyo of California, Md. Mrs. Filyo remained for several days with her parents. Another source of joy for Mr. Wood was the call from his great-grandson Steven Christopher Filyo in Illinois as he sent greetings by telephone.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Morrison of Winchester were here Sunday for the funeral of Mrs. Morrison’s aunt Mrs. Lula Weaver at Geest Funeral Home and she and Mr. Morrison remained as overnight guests of her mother Mrs. Cary Thornhill.

Mrs. Clarence W. Jenkins continues to improve greatly from her recent knee surgery.

Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville was a Sunday afternoon guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and family.
