On Saturday, Oct. 12 our groups met to begin our decent (or accent) depending on which group you were in) to the Dwyer Family Cemetery. At 11:30 a.m. deciding to start from the Piney Ridge Ranger Station on the Sky-Line Drive, as our organizer and leader had an unexpected medical emergency and could not attend (this honor falling on myself in collaboration with others). The day was cool, just right for walking in the beautiful fall colors. Our pace was steady and relaxed mingled with much conversation and “getting to know” folks.
