Now is the time to place your seedling order for next spring’s planting season. By ordering now, you can be assured of getting the species desired. Some species sell' out fast, making it wise to order early.
Never before has the Department of Forestry offered such a wide selection of species. This year several “special packages” are offered. For example, there is a gypsy moth package available that contains 25 seedlings of species not preferred by feeding gypsy moth larvae.
A wildlife package and a wildlife garden seed mixture is also offered. There is even a wildflower seed mixture available.
In addition to the above, many hardwood and evergreen species can be ordered. Some of the species include: white oak, red oak, pin oak, black walnut, white dogwood, sweet gum, Chinese chestnut, white pine, Norway spruce, Scotch pine, ash,
