I am most familiar with Kay as an effective advocate for environmental protection measures at the local, state, and national levels. This is very important to me, as I think it will increasingly be to us all—the assault on our natural resources continues and grows. I think Kay Slaughter will factor in the real concerns of people for jobs, security, and improved quality of life, in looking for the best solutions from government. I believe she would be a strong leader in acting to preserve open space, protect water resources, improve air quality, and reorient national energy policy—all of real importance to folks in our area.
