An exciting fight is shaping up in the state Senate race. Margaret Haynes is a dynamic bright candidate. Her repeated visits to Rappahannock and Fauquier allowed the voters to see a first-class woman in action. Her concern for education is so crucial for the future of our children.
Her opponent, Kevin Miller, finally realizes that his senatorial district extends over the mountain. For the past eight years he has ignored us, nobody knew he even existed, now all of a sudden he wants our vote. Who is this guy kidding?
The other player on the field is Kay Slaughter. She deserves the seat in Congress. The environment, health and the economy are the issues. She has the qualifications for the job. This year the Democratic team is the winner, with this team the general public will be the final winners.
