“Preserving Our Stone Heritage” is,, the focus of a lecture to be given by David Via, noted stone mason from Loudoun County, at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the John Barton Payne Building on Courthouse Square in Warrenton.
The public is invited to attend the program while awaiting election results.
A native Virginian, Via has worked as a stone mason since 1975, specializing in masonry restoration for the past eight years. His work diversity includes architectural conservation, natural landscape design, and cemetery preservation and restoration, including gravestone cleaning and repair.
In his lecture “Preserving Our Stone Heritage,” Via will discuss dry stone walls and other historic stone structures in Fauquier and Loudoun Counties.
