If the Bridges have already been taking guests before the real “season,” how long have they been doing so? Were their guests made aware of the fact that they were staying in an establishment that was not yet approved (had not yet even applied for approval, or been inspected by the health department), which is their right to know? Is that why the rest of us have been getting no referrals from Bleu rock?
Even though it was the opinion of some of the board that this was not a legitimate application, it was approved as a tourist home for a period of two years without having to meet any requirements. I believe fair competition is a good thing, with the key word being “fair.”
It takes more than being “flattered and gracious” to operate a legitimate Virginia Bed and Breakfast.
