Training session scheduled
Regional Adult Education invites all teachers of adults, whether volunteers or professionals, to a free training session Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Holiday Inn in Culpeper.
Two experts will head the progam. During the morning, Dr. Nancy Boraks of VCU will demonstrate using process writing with adults. The afternoon speaker, Dr. Neva Viise, from University of Virginia, will show how to diagnose a student’s development by spelling errors and what activities are needed for each stage of development.
Funding for the class is provided by Cluster Inservice Training, a 353 project for educational staff development. Lunch will be provided. To register, call Regional Adult Education at 825-0157 or 1800-371-7380.
