A funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 5 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with Dr. Alan Melton officiating. Interment was in Graham Cemetery in Orange.
Pallbearers were Chester William Fannon, Arthur Neufeld, Dr. Hubert Tucker, Joe Tucker, Billy Tucker, Chester William Fannon III and Steven Marshall Tucker.

Word was received Saturday of the death of Myrtle Beam Watkins, age 95.
She was bom June 18, 1897 in Springfield, Ohio, daughter of Hamilton Peyton Beahm (Beam) and his wife, Catherine “Katie” Callison Beam. When age 3, Mick moved with her family to homestead in North Dakota. She attended normal school in North Dakota and taught school in Minot, N.D. for two years.
Mrs. Watkins was employed at the Mouse River Gazette in Towner, N.D., where she met her husband, Claude E. Watkins. They were married in 1918 and moved to Wenatchee, Washington in 1920. In 1945 they moved to Twisp, Washington,
