It is ironic that you suggest he should stay on the sidelines; the massive statewide surveys done last Thursday in Virginia showed that 91.3 percent of randomly questioned voters favored Perot’B reentering the race immediately. If playing by the rules means Bitting on prearranged haybales wearing jeans and a preordained flannel shirt, while mouthing platitudes to small farmers, then I’m glad Perot dropped out for that phase oi campaigning, ^lis doing so has only dignified a process that up till now has cost millions of dollars to fill the voters minds with a few pat phrases such as “family values” and “time for change.”
