Reginald Aylor
Reginald Herman Aylor, of Washington, died Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday, Oct. 7 at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville by the Rev. John Pendleton. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Aylor was born July 29, 1906 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Jaunita Lewis Aylor and Reuben Aylor. He was a retired Avtex employee.
Surviving are his wife, Bert L. Aylor; a daughter, Dolores McDonnell of Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; a god-daughter and a niece.
Arrangements were handled by the W.C. Thompson Funeral Home in Culpeper.
Eva Colvin
Mrs. Eva York Colvin, 75, of Viewtown, wife of the Rev. John Sidney Colvin, died Thursday, Oct. 1 at MeaUowbrook near Reva.
A native of Morgan County, Tenn. Mrs. Colvin is the daughter of the late Martin G. and Mary Elizabeth Taylor York. She was a member of Brown’s Cove United Methodist Church in Albemarle County and the Christian Women’s Club.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Sidney Joseph Colvin of Viewtown and George McCoy Colvin of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two daughters, Marilyn Davis of Stanardsville and Joyce Patricia Colvin of Viewtown; a sister, Betty Ellis of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
