Dwyer cemetery excursion

The annual trip to the Dwyer family cemetery on Piney Ridge in Shenandoah National Park is scheduled for Nov. 1. All interested parties are requested to meet at the same place as last year (Piney River Ranger Station). Snacks, drinks, atffd especially "fittin” apparel are recommended. Story hour at library

The Rappahannock County Library will host a story hour for preschoolers on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. beginning on Oct. 20 and continuing through Nov. 17. All preschoolers and their parents are invited to attend. For more information you may call the library at 675-3780.

NSDAR to meet

The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at the Rappahannock Library in Washington. The program will be “Discover Columbus - Discover America."

Benefit yard sale

The Child Care and Learning Center will be sponsoring a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. There will be lots of infant and childrens clothes, toys and nursing equipment. Proceeds will benefit CCLC’s landscape drive.
