PEC president Robert Dennis said he did not know of any land that had not qualified, but he said he would prefer to have his own land qualified under open space rather than as forest land.
He said approving open space for land under scenic easement would encourage more landowners to donate such easements saving tax dollars, since land that is not developed pays more in taxes, even with land use taxation, than it demands in services.
