A tuneral service was held Monday, Oct. 5 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. Nancy B. White officiating. Interment was in Culpeper National Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Sheads, John Settle, John Harrison, Roy Boldridge, Ronnie Compton and Donnie Uber.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Amissville Rescue Squad.
Etta Vaughn
Etta Frances Vaughn, 89, of Orange, formerly of Culpeper and Washington, D.C., died Friday, Oct. 2 at Orange County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Vaughn was bom Aug. 8, 1903 in Culpeper, the daughter of the late James Travis and Annie Wayland Carpenter.
She was a housewife and a member of Orange Baptist Church and the American Red Cross during WWII.
She was a person who loved people and gave generously to individuals and worthy causes and will be missed by many friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles S. Flynn and her second husband, Fred D. Vaughn.
Survivors include three nephews, Dr. Hubert 0. Tucker of Orange, Joseph T. Tucker of CulCRI

Christmas parade
Culpeper Renaissance, Inc. (CRI) will boat a Christmas parade at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 through Main Street in downtown Culpeper.
Businesses, organizations, and school groups are encouraged to participate.
Parade registrations must be re-, ceived at the CRI office by Nov. 1. For registration forms and more information, call the CRI office at 8254416.
