Mr. Massie asked if it would be possible to have witnesses wait in the room in the back of the Commissioner of Revenue’s building.
Sheriff John Henry Woodward said, “It wouldn’t work.” He said with witnesses in separate rooms in the courthouse he could better keep track of them.
