Haywood Leonard Poles Jr., 48, of Madison, died Monday, Sept. 28 in Reston.
Mr. Poles was born March 19, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pa.
He was employed by Fairfax County School Board as a maintenance supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Gladys Wormley Poles.
Survivors include his wife, Lola Jones Poles; his father and stepmother, Haywood and Margaret F. Poles of Washington; one son, Kevin Carter of Culpeper; five daughters, Vickie Williams, Deborah Williams and Tonya Poles, all of Madison, Cheryl Williams of Culpeper and Jackie Freeman of Fairfax; one sister, Jackie Frye of Forestvflle, Md.; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 3 at Free Gospel Church of Christ in Culpeper with Elder Harold Smith officiating. Interment was in the Poles family cemetery in Washington.
Satchell Funeral Home in Orange was in charge of the arrangements.
