With less than 30 days prior to the presidential election, the nation continues to focus on the values and virtues of the candidates, as opposed to their positions on the substantive issues. If character is the most important criteria for running for office, perhaps we should be asking, who is Admiral Stockdale?

Admiral Stockdale is a Senior Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution (Stanford University) who served on active duty in the regular Navy for 37 years - most of those years, at sea, as a fighter pilot aboard aircraft carriers.
