Electric Coop meeting
Administrative members from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative will appear at a special meeting from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Rappahannock High School to answer questions in reference to frequent power outages and the upcoming rate increase. Flea market planned
A fall flea market and car wash will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. Those interested in renting a space should call 987-9402 or 676-3049. Baked goods, books, clothing and more will be available. This event is sponsored by the Rappahannock Elementary PTO and the Rappahannock High School yearbook staff. If you have donations to make to the PTO booth please call 676-3049. Everyone is invited to come out and support these groups.
Barn dance, bonfire
An old fashion barn dance, sponsored by the Rappahannock Athletic Association, will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Digges Farm in Amissville. The band Heavy Dreamer will perform. There will also be a bonfire, door prizes, buffet and set-ups. Cost is $26 per couple, $16 singles, you must be 21 to attend. Tickets will be sold at the gate.
