The Washington Town Council returned once again to the issue of street lights at its meeting last Wednesday night.
The council heard from Robert Smulian, a senior vice president of Trimble House in Norcross, Ga.
Mr. Smulian came to talk about the philosophy of street lighting and How it differs between smaller and larger towns and cities. " (The discussion of late has focused on two types of lights. One is called a radial arm fixture. The oldest lights in the town with the flattened reflector are this tyi>e. The jther is called an acorn fixture and an example is attached to a pole near the Clopton House on Main Street. This type usually is mounted atop a Jjght pole like the ones on Main (■street in Culpeper.)
