An informal and most interesting program followed with members showing and describing valued historical objects which they owned. Included were pieces of jewelry, china, photos and paintings, a letter dated in the 1660’s, dolls, (one an inch tall), silver pieces, a photo album 100 years old, knitted and embroidered pieces and even an old pair of spectacles. It was a program called “Sharing Our Treasures”.
The next meeting will be the awards tea to be held at the Culpeper Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon, March 14, with the honored guests being the recipients of the DAR Good Citizens Awards and the American Essay Contest winners with their families.
