The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, met for a luncheon meeting at the Holiday Inn in Culpeper on Feb. 9 with the Regent, Mrs. Thomas Eastham presiding and with Mrs. Irwin Kilby as coordinator. The condition of five active members who are hospitalized was reported on and a tribute was paid to Mrs. Ira Cook Hopkins, member, who passed away Feb. 6.
The President General’s message, read by Mrs. E. Eugene Ryan, was one of stressing that February is American History month, of continuing to promote American History programs and of encouraging all educators to expand their American History programs in every school throughout the country.
Mrs. Blair, President General, also, proudly reported that the DAR Museum had just received reaccreditation from the Accreditation Commission of the American Association of Museums.
