course called Introduction to Mathematics. It would involve a team of teachers including a math teacher, a technology teacher and a home economics teacher. The students would get hands on experience in using mathematics to solve everyday problems “as a real part of the world, not just ideas confined to a classroom.”
The committee recommended that three sections of this course be taught next year, possibly all at the same time with students moving from one room and teacher to another as they take up different types of problems.
