Students who transfer into Virginia schools in the seventh through ninth grades also are required to earn a Litreracy Passport. Parents of seventh through ninth grade transfer students should make stire that the school has scheduled the test for their children.
Students with disabilities and students with limited proficiency in English are given equal opportunity to participate in the Literacy Passport Program, but special circumstances may exist. Parents should contact their children’s school or the school division’s testing director to review state guidelines regarding testing students with special needs.
