Booster Club to meet
The Rappahannock Athletic Booster Club will meet 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Rappahannock High School due to the boys basketball tournament on Monday.
Banquet scheduled
A banquet sponsored by the Rappahannock County Citizen League will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 27 at Rappahannock Elementary School. A $12 donation is requested.
Woman's Club to meet
The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at the home of Mrs. Dawn Bare in Washington. All members are urged to attend and are reminded that patron ads are due at the meeting for the upcoming fashion show.
Wine tasting to benefit WCDS
On Sunday, Feb. 21, a wine tasting will be held at Napoleon’s Restaurant in Warrenton from 4-5:30 p.m. to benefit Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly.
The wine tasting will be hosted and led by Dan Kravitz, a national wine importer, and Wakefield Country Day parent. Kravitz specializes in French wines.
The cost is $10 per person. Tickets are available from the school office and at the door. Call 635-8555 or write P.O. Box 513, Washington, VA 22747 for more information. Proceeds will benefit the independent day school which draws students from twelve counties in Virginia and West Virginia.
Those who wish to stay for dinner after the wine tasting will receive a 10 percent discount from Napoleon’s. Reservations are recommended.
Quaker meetings
Silent Quaker meetings will be held at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday at The Child Care Learning Center. Children are welcome.
Storyhour to begin
Preschool storyhour will begin at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the Rappahannock County Library. All preschoolers and their parents are invited to come and enjoy the stories, crafts, and activites. The programs will continue every Tuesday through March.
Group to meet
The Inner Growth group will meet on the first and third Sundays starting at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21 at the New Leaf Bookstore in Warrenton. For more information call 675-3179.
Baseball, softball registration
The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) will hold baseball registration for children five years old by Dec. 31, 1992 and not over 18 by Aug. 1 and girls softball ages seven-15 years old will be held from 10a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 13, 20, and 27. The locations will be at the Flint Hill fire hall, Rappahannock High School and Amissville fire hall. Cost is $25 for first child, $20 for second child and $15 for each family member thereafter.
