James Grimsley
James S. Grimsley, 66, of Falls Church died Feb. 10 at the Arlington Hospital.
Graveside services were conducted Feb. 13 at the Orlean Cemetery by the Rev. Ralph Crabill.
Mr. Grimsley was bom Jan. 15, 1927 in Flint Hill, son of the late Joseph and Sally Wince Grimsley. He was a retired truck driver for People’s Drug Stores. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and member of the American Legion Post 130 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Martin-Leppert-Sipes Post 9274 in Falls Church.
Surviving are his wife, Harriet S. Grimsley; a daughter, Cynthia Wilkins of Keyser, W.Va.; two sons, John B. Grimsley of of Front Royal and Richard W. Grimsley of Leesburg; a brother, Robert Grimsley of Strasburg; five sisters, Virgie Hutchison and Etta Nossett, both of Front Royal, Pearl Henry of Limeton, Frances Eubank of Washington, and Audrey Butler of Thurmont, Md.; and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Institute for Cancer Reasearch, 1759 R. St. N.W., Washington, D.C. 20007.
Maddox Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Samuel Jenkins
Samuel Miller Jenkins, 72, of Winchester, died Thursday at the Winchester Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Feb. 13 at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester by the Rev. Ken Smith. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hayfield.
Mr. Jenkins was born May 27, 1920 in Rappahannock County, son of the late Willis E. and Ada Frazier Jenkins. He was a carpenter and member of Union Local 1024.
Surviving are a sister, Beulah Alger of Winchester; and a brother, Melvin Jenkins of Frederick County,
