Join a weight reduction club for companionship and encouragement or join forces with a friend who’s also fighting fat.

• Weigh yourself once a week, preferably early in the morning before dressing or eating breakfast.

• If you continue to overeat, keep a daily record of what you eat, how much you eat, and when you eat. This will help indent ify problem areas.

• Eat slowly, allowing time to enjoy you food! Remember that it takes about 20 minutes to begin to feel satisfied during a meal.

• Prevent clean-up from becoming another meal by storing leftover food immediately — out-of-sight, out-of-mind!

• If you're tempted by the thought or sight of food, get busy! Do a few exercises, write a letter, read a book, take a walk, or wash the car. You won’t lose those extra pounds if you give in to your cravings.

• Get right back to your diet if a binge makes you will power waver.

Perseverance is the key to shaping up. Remember, when it comes to slimming, you mave mothing but pounds to lose, and a slender new you to gain!
