CULPEPER — Joseph Kinchekjp joined partner Isobel Ziluca to \y|n the fast time division at the Feb. 14 Bull Run Hunt Hunter Pace heiu at Kincheloe’s own Birmingham Farm.

Triumphing at an event contested on one’s own property is not previously unknown to the former master of the Bull Run Hunt, as Kincheloe won the Bull Run Old Fashioned Point-to-Point at Birmingham iyjL 1992.

“Honestly, I attribute this victory to my partner, Isobel,” said Iftncheloe following their three-mile rifle timed in 8:34.

“I hate to admit this, but given the choice, I would have ridden this course a lot slower!

‘The snow and mud made me want to just trot and canter, but Isobel galloped on in front. She gets osmplete credit for our win,” he Sdded with a laugh. £ Ziluca, an Upperville resident representing the Piedmont Hunt, rode Kinchloe’s bay 11-year-old thoroughbred gelding, Reasonable Tiew. Kincheloe was mounted on his Executive Memo, also a thoroughbred.

Well, we won jfnyway, so this year there was pressure to defend our title.” * More than 20 pairs of riders competed over the rolling, three-and-apalf mile course winding around the i6pen land of Birmingham Farm. Stream crossings, eight coops and partially frozen fields combined to jtnake a challenging test for horse *nd rider. - In the fast time division, Kincheloe and Ziluca beat the secondplaced pair by a full 23 seconds.
