Storey has been reinstated as a DAR member and is now officially a member of this chapter. She, also, welcomed a number of prospective members who were present.
At the meeting next month, DAR Good Citizen awards will be given to those who have been selected by their schools, four high schools having participated. Also, American History Essay awards will be given to those who wrote the winning essays. For this, sixty students in the sixth and seventh grades par-1 ticipated.
As Flag Committee Chairman, Mrs. Walter Clark announced that she was presenting a flag to a troop of Boy Scouts at the Hebron Church in Madison and had ordered another one which will be presented to the Girl Scouts.
The 70th birthday of the Culpeper Minuted Men Chapter will be celebrated with a special luncheon for the May 11 meeting and the chairman of the event, Mrs. Edgar F. Purvear, Jr. reported on the plans to date.
