some contributions have been promised. Now is the time for organizations. businesses and individuals within the community to step forward and make this project a number one item on their Spring agenda.
Fund raising still needs to be done AND, we need workers to sign up for shifts on the contraction site starting March 20 from 9-1, 1-5, or 95 for you enthusiasts! With the castle, we found that it added a lot of fun and sense of community when friends offered to contribute covered dished to feed lunch to the volunteers.
We need to say "Thank you" to all of those who have contributed so far. If you haven’t, please do so now. The park is for everyone. This is why we are reaching out individually to the entire community. We’re aiming high! The materials for the pirate ship and deck will cost about $2,700. We need to make a decision by Marh 7 or so as to what our money will buy.
The Pirate ship and deck come first and then, hopefully, at least some of the much needed shade trees. These can be very costly, but as we have all learned, the strong summer sun can be dangerous to our children.
